Engine Restoration Page 2
My stator was pretty ruff looking here is the before
To restore the stator I first removed all the coils from the stator plate. I then bead blasted the coils and also the plate. If you noticed that the wire loom was cracked I did replace that also. I found a good replacement for the loom at the junk yard, a Toyota car had the loom that looks identical to Hondas Just measure your old one and cut to length. I also installed new points and condenser.
Here is my freshly painted cylinder I use VHT High heat Glossy black. I also use masking tape to mask off the bottom and top of the bore.
Here are all the pieces in the bottom end minus the gaskets and o-rings. I get all my motor work done my superior sleeve check them out at www.superiorsleeve.com
The bore is done here it is now for the top end.
Here are all the pieces in the top end. I used new valves and guides in this bike I also had the seats cut. I like to bead blast the head, cam cover and also the head cover to give it that brand new look. For the cam chain cover I polish it.
Its all together now turned out very nice, only thing I need to do is get a new stator cover to finish this motor off. Now the motor will wait for a nice bike to come along that needs a motor.
